February 25, 2015, 5 p.m. - FREE TBPE Student Webinar on the FE Exam and the licensure process. Registration link will be posted 30 days prior to event.

March 6, 2015, June 4, 2015 and September 2, 2015 - Free ethics webinars. Each ethics presentation provides an up-to-date overview of agency activities, case studies, and a review of professional ethics topics. There is a maximum of 1,000 attendees for each webinar and they fill up quickly.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERS - NCEES is currently seeking licensed mechanical engineers to participate in a professional activities and knowledge study, or PAKS, for the PE Mechanical exam. The results of this online survey will be used to update specifications for the exam, which is used throughout the United States for licensing purposes.
The deadline is February 9, 2015.

WHEN IS A PE REQUIRED ON A BUILDING PROJECT? TBPE developed a flowchart to determine if a Professional Engineer is required when a Texas project involves the design, erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair of, or the creation of plans and specs for a building. Use this one page diagrammatic to make sure your project is in compliance with the Texas Engineering Practice Act. It is a great reference for engineers, plan reviewers, city and county officials, and owners.

2015 NCEES Exam Information - The next NCEES PE exams are April 17-18, 2015. PE exam registration is now open. The PE Exam registration deadline is February 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. CST. Registration for the FE exam is open year-round.
